Less Effort, More Results?
We want optimal results with the least amount of effort, right? We want more bang for our buck. We simply desire the best.
We should want this for our health too. Here are three of the best exercises that you can do anywhere, anytime with no equipment, great benefits and optimal results:
1) Exercise: Pushups
Pushups are one of the oldest simple exercises in the book and they provide great results. Muscular benefits: Pushups work your entire upper body. Targeted areas: forearms, wrists, upper arms, shoulders, and chest.
To work more chest and shoulders, spread your hands wider and keep your arms away from your side.
To work more triceps, bring your hands closer and keep your arms close to your side.
Alternate exercise: Dips – they have similar benefits but better results because there is more body working against gravity. Use chairs or something similar if available.
2) Exercise: Squats / Lunges
Squats and lunges can be varied, intensified, loaded with extra weight, and be some of the best exercises to shape and tone your lower body. Muscular benefits: Squats and Lunges work your entire lower body. Targeted areas: quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, lower back, and core.
Alternate exercise: Pistol Squats – These on leg squats are more beneficial because you isolate one leg at a time and put more weight on that leg and also work your balance, flexibility and coordination. Squat to a chair at first to build strength.
3) Exercise: Burpees
Burpees combine both your upper and lower body to work almost every major muscle in your body in one short sequence of movements. Muscular benefits: Burpees provide a great full-body workout. Targeted areas: forearms, wrists, upper arms, shoulders, chest, quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, lower back, and core.
You can take the knowledge of these simple exercises with you anywhere you go and not have to worry about depleting health or access to a gym any longer. Learn them, try them, use them consistently, and enjoy the health benefits through and through!
